Lab Certified Wavelength Output, Distribution, and Irradiance
- TheraBulbs have been tested in an independent ISO-accredited laboratory.
- Wavelength output tests verify that the bulbs emit infrared energy and red light.
- Wavelength distribution tests measure the percentage of the total energy output that is near infrared energy and the total percentage that is red light.
- Irradiance tests measure the intensity of red light and near infrared energy at portions of a meter.
- Learn why this information is critical to selecting a bulb in our blog post, How to Choose a Near Infrared Bulb.
Why Choose TheraBulb?
- Zero-EMF: Incandescent bulbs produce no EMF beyond that associated with the electrical wire. When tested in an independent, ISO-accredited lab, EMF levels were at or below the resolution of the test equipment.
- RoHS-Compliant: Our bulbs comply with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive, ensuring environmental safety.
- Lab-Certified: Bulbs are tested in an independent, ISO-accredited laboratory. Tests verify and quantify red light and near infrared presence and distribution, irradiance, and absence of EMF. This allows us to offer empiracal data that buyers can use to make meaningful comparisons within the TheraBulb product line and among different brands of bulbs. We Sell Performance, Not Pigment
Each TheraBulb has a red coating to dampen some of the non-red visible light it puts out. Occasionally, there are inconsistencies in the red coating. These variations do not affect the bulb's ability to produce red light or infrared energy because all of the light and energy emitted by the bulb are generated by the filament inside the bulb. The glass shell (the "bulb" part of a light bulb) that surrounds the filament has no role in the production of light or energy. Read more about how light bulbs operate and the purpose of the glass shell and red coating in our blog post, Why Bulb Color and Performance are Unrelated.

Which Voltage Do I Need?
Each of TheraBulb's Zero-EMF Incandescent bulbs are offered in 120V and 240V versions. We do this because electrical voltage is different in different parts of the world. In North America, Central America, and Japan, electrical voltage is 110V-120V and 120V bulbs are used there. In Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania, electricity is 220V-240V and 240V bulbs are used there. In South America, the electrical voltage varies by region. This guide will assist you in identifying the correct voltage for your country.
